This is a replacement barrel band for the Crosman 1740 or 2240-type air pistol

Fits many Crosman CO2-powered air pistols, including the following models: 1740, 2240, Outdoorsman Carbine, 2250, 2300S, 2300T, 1760, 2260

Adding an extra barrel band near the front of the pressure tube stabilizes the barrel for improved stability, durability and accuracy

It's the current version which is painted black and made of 30/70 zinc-steel alloy that doesn't rust or corrode

It will also fit 2240, 2260 and other 22XX models

With the plastic-breech models the original barrel band sits a little low causing the barrel to angle down towards the front of the tube

Using this band lifts the barrel slightly higher to be more square with the tube

It doesn't have a mounting-tab for the forearm on 2250B but works great if you want to eliminate the forearm to make it a pistol

For 2240, 2300 series and 2400KT it tends to lift the barrel a little too much so some fitting may be required with those models
